Pastor Morton,

I was entering a post on the topic of troublemakers in the church on our blog and came across your post. It is excellent - very biblical and obviously borne out of your years of pastoral experience. I've written a discipleship book on church conflict (www.winningtherealbattle.com) and have just begun what I hope will be an interactive "Ask a Question" blog - www.churchconflictforum.org. I have a heart for hurting pastors and churches. I'd welcome further contact with you. Blessings, Pastor David Noble

Hope is in our Lord God. Elijah thought he was left alone but God told him otherwise.

1Ki 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

There may not be many left in this generation but God has kept His elect who have not bowed to the world's ways.

I think it too late. I realize that nothing is impossible with God, but when you read the scripture on homosexuality, it consistently shows that homosexuality is a result of God abandoning a culture. Looking at the signs, it seems that God has abandoned our "great" country.

Very well thought through and written I must say. I agree. I have worshipped at Bellevue for most of my life and have had the awesome privilege of sitting under the pastoral authority and teaching of Dr.Adrian Rogers. This situation saddens me deeply. I have seen all of the accusations on "saving Bellevue". Most of its complaints seem overstated, un-factual and not pertaining to anything going on at Bellevue. But its effects are far broader than most think. I agree with your 2nd paragraph. A lot of people don’t think about that. Some truly do not realize what their words are doing. Does the bible not say the power of life and death is in the tongue? To say nothing of the lost... a lost person could come to our church and in some cases instead of hearing of Christ, they hear about the latest thing on "saving Bellevue". Tell me what good can come of that?

Dr.Rogers quoted this in his sermon, "Truth and Consequences"

"I would rather play with forked lightning, or take in my hand living wires with their fiery current, than to speak a reckless word again any servant of Christ, or idly repeat the slanderous darts which thousands of Christians are hurling on others."

To whom this may concern:

Your article in which I respond is well written - however I can not agree. Some would say this subjet is house business. I would disagree - besides vanity and pride are not something I yield to.
I will say this - if those with Christian dicernment sense something perhaps those of the body of Christ should take a look. Where is James Dobson? Where in Blackaby? Where are the spirtual Warriors that can direct Bellevue to safety?
This is what is sad. People assume that this is because some are soured because of Dr. Rogers death. This is a tragic assumption. I go to a variety of Churches and my radar does not go off like it does around SG. God's word has an aroma.
Let me add this. Is is possible that those who have listened to Dr. Rogers for years have acquired a degree of wisdom? The type of Christian who prays in their closet and does not need to stand in front of people and pray out loud to validate their faith?
Hey, I an open to being wrong about this - someone please rebuke me. I am open to prayer, I am open to correction, I am open to saying what the spirit compels me to say. Someone of authority please head this SOS and come save the Church named Bellevue. If the church is fine - please minister to me, my soul is grieved.

God Bless - wounded soldier
